Inspired Leadership

Memory Competition

Have you ever seen anyone recall a complete deck of 52 playing cards in perfect order in less than 3 minutes?

Contrary to popular belief, our memory can and does grow if we nourish it and exercise it.

The contestants in the Annual PA Memory Championship prove we can learn and retain massive quantities of information if we put our minds to work.

What is the Central Pennsylvania Memory Competition?

The PA Memory Competition is a high school competition where students compete in five events to test their memory skills in order to prove that learning is fun and that we have the abilities to retain and recall massive amounts of information if we put our minds to work.

What inspired Rhonda Hess to found the Pennsylvania Memory Competition?

"In my work with executive leaders, we use many of the world class mental programming techniques professional athletes use to be “game-ready”, to face tough obstacles and to cultivate a winning spirit. This same mental rigor applies to leadership development in any field; whether it is business, education, government or non-profit organizations.

We have devoted, servant teachers and exceptional students in Central Pennsylvania, who are creating our future, one leader at a time. The Pennsylvania Memory Competition brings to focus the world-class talent right here in our own backyard. They are the ‘real story’; I am delighted to be a catalyst in making this memory event happen."
