Rhonda R. Hess is a certified professional leadership coach and change management specialist with a unique capability to effect positive behavioral change.

She has over 28 years experience leading and managing transformational change initiatives within and for the Fortune 1000, including Hershey Foods Corporation.   Rhonda works with executives across industries including finance, consumer packaged goods, transportation, executive search, health and wellness, aerospace, and consulting.

She earned a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from St. Francis University, a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Master’s-level Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. She is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation.

Rhonda extends her passion to build leaders into the community by teaching students how to improve their learning, retention, and study skills. She is the founder and co-chair of the Pennsylvania Memory Competition. She serves as a judge and keynote speaker at the USA National Memory Competition held annually in New York City.

Rhonda believes we are all leaders of our lives with the capacity to create the future we want if we put our minds, hearts, and spirits authentically and energetically toward the results we want.

Best 50 women in business announced

The winners of the 2008 Best 50 Women in Business Award were announced today by the office of Gov. Ed Rendell. A panel of judges selected the women based on professional accomplishments, community involvement and advocacy for women in business.

Midstate winners include the following:

  • Tammy Shearer, vice president of Shearer Enterprises, doing business as The Camera Box in Cumberland County
  • Linda Harvey-Burkley, principal at Ardis Communications in Dauphin County
  • Rhonda Hess, president and chief executive officer of Rhonda Hess Associates in Dauphin County
  • Janice Holsinger, owner, founder and chairperson of U-GRO Learning Centres Inc. in Dauphin County
  • Deborah Saline, principal and chief operating officer of PR Works Inc. in Dauphin County
  • Marilyn Hedge, vice president of Susquehanna Bank in Lancaster County
  • Sarah Young Fisher, president of Kuntz Lesher Capital in Lancaster County
  • Anna Skamangas, president of The Baklava Goddess Inc. in Lebanon County
  • Lynne Briel, president and founder of The Professional Edge in York County
  • Anne Zerbe, attorney at CGA Law Firm in York County

The winners will be recognized during a reception May 19 at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg.

The program is conducted in cooperation with five Pennsylvania business journals, including
the Central Penn Business Journal.
